Perfect Pitch Fridays II & BTAD!!

First off, it's been a pretty crazy week in New York - hats off to an amazing, amazing pilot.

We figured we'd wind things up on a Friday with a few prizes to show our gratitude for stopping by our fair little site and dropping feedback during the beta stage. Today's the first, of which we hope will be many, Beta Tester Appreciation Days!

Stay tuned to our blog throughout the day, where we'll be announcing the winners for two Apple store gift certificates later in the afternoon.

Yesterday, I met with the manager for a grammy-award winning artist. We started talking about the best way to present a brand partnership opportunity. Back in my agency days, I used to get at least ten powerpoint decks a day, ranging anywhere from 5 slides to 30. There's an argument that can be made for both the long and short form, and I think a lot of it depends on your stage of discussion. If you're just making the intro to your property, a quick promo reel or one-sheeter is the way to go. If you've gotten some interest and are trying to sell-in the deal or a specific activation concept a more in-depth ppt presentation may be appropriate. Before deciding what to send, first ask- where in the life-cycle of a deal am I and what will the potential client be willing to absorb.

Customizing an opp to a particular client is great, but every detail of a potential deal isn't necessary to include in the first phase of pitching as you probably want to show the ability to be flexible and customize a program to their needs in any case. We believe it's most effective to present your opp in a quick, catchy way and then once you see there's interest, LISTEN to their needs and craft out a customized proposal. We believe SponsorPitch allows you to do this by compiling all of the assets of your pitch in one place and in a quick, catchy format. We hope you agree ; )

Have a great day!
